Shooting “Le Gba Gbe” video in my hometown fulfilling – Stonebwoy

Ghanaian dancehall music heavyweight, Stonebwoy known in private life as Livingstone Etse Satekla has revealed that shooting the video for “Le Gba Gbe” song in his hometown was fulfilling for him.
The song “Le Gba Gbe” to wit, I am alive, is a story about his journey from entanglement to a happy place.
The video of the song, which is the lead on Stonebwoy’s much talked about Anloga Junction Album, was shot in his hometown, Alakple, a town in the Keta Municipality of the Volta Region of Ghana.
The town is situated along the south eastern part of the popular Keta lagoon in the Anlo enclave.
Speaking to The Spectator, Stonebwoy said, shooting the video in his hometown was an experience, because the reception throughout the journey was heartwarming for the two-day exercise.
He revealed that he had always wanted to do something to project his hometown, and he realised this was an opportunity to promote where he hails from to the rest of the world.
The multiple award winning Ghanaian musician further disclosed that it was fulfilling for him to take the whole crew to his hometown to shoot the video which was directed by Rex Films.
The concept of the video, saw Stonebwoy and a couple of others captured, chained and detained in a forest as well as denied their freedom as human beings.
This notwithstanding, with determination, he broke out from the shackles and regained his freedom, depicting the lyrics of the song, “He is alive.”
As part of his dream to promote his hometown, Stonebwoy in the video, showcased the Keta Lagoon, varied occupations, beautiful landscapes, culture and the bust of the prominent Africa-American, philanthropist and boxer Muhammad Ali nicknamed “The Greatest”, planted at the junction along the Anloga and Dabala road.
“Le Gba Gbe” is the lead track of the 15 songs on the Anloga Junction album produced by 12 renowned music producers across the face of Africa and Europe.
The producers include Mix Master Garzy, Streetbeatz, Nana Rogues, MOG, Beatz Dakay, Spanker, Kabaka Pyramid, Ipaapi, N2THEA, Andre “Dre” Harris, Riga, Phantom and Fox Beatz.

Sarkodie’s Rapperholic Concert climaxes Momo Fest 2025 in Kumasi

The Kumasi metropolis was thrown into a state of frenzy last Saturday as thousands of fans flocked the Baba Yara Sports Stadium for Sarkodie’s Rapperholic Concert that climaxed the 2025 Momo Fest.
Despite a heavy rainfall, the event, powered by MTN, drew unprecedented crowds for the month-long initiative to promote financial inclusion, the use of mobile money, and raise awareness on MoMo fraud prevention.
The musical event was preceded by educational roadshows, cashless market fairs, and community engagement activities across the country.
Vendors at the MoMo Cashless Market and Fair, set up within the stadium premises, offered goods and services payable exclusively through mobile money, giving patrons a live demonstration of MoMo’s utility.
The concert, headlined by multiple award-winning rapper Sarkodie, featured performances from several high-profile Ghanaian artistes including Medikal, Kofi Kinaata, Donzy, Kweku Smoke, and Efya.
But the appearance of Shatta Wale, who joined Sarkodie on stage, took the excitement a notch higher as it marked a rare public collaboration between the two top acts.
The event would go into the history books as one of the largest music gatherings in Kumasi and a fitting conclusion to a festival that sought to blend innovation with entertainment.
