Lordina The Soprano collaborates with Joe Mettle on ‘Gye Wo Nkoaa

Ghanaian gospel chorale artiste, Lordina Eugenia Derby, well known as Lordina The Soprano has released another new single, “Gye Wo Nkoaa’ which literally means ‘You Alone’.
It is a powerful and emotionally charged song of gratitude, ascribing all good things to the handiworks of the Almighty.
The song features gospel music award winning artiste, Joe Mettle. In the song, his powerful vocals and heartfelt contemporary delivery introduces a new dimension to the song, making it a powerful “anthem” of praise.
‘Gye Wo Nkoaa’ was written by the renowned Ghanaian composer, Newlove Kojo Annan.
In an interview with The Spectator, she opined that the “lyrics are deeply personal, touching on the theme of gratitude and thanksgiving to God.
The powerful vocals and soaring melodies are sure to resonate with audiences of all ages and backgrounds.
‘Gye Wo Nkoaa’ was produced and arranged by Charles Pettingle and the Kadosh hitmaker, Joe Mettle.

The song was mixed and mastered by KODA of Koded Studios.
Musicians who also contributed to the success of this wonderful piece include award winning instrumentalist, Emmanuel Bludo, Prince Sennah, music director NaYaw Apare and his vocal team from Murya Hub Studios.
Lordina The Soprano hopes this song continues to re-echo the need for an endless show of gratitude to God for all His blessings.

Osanju is dead

Popular Ghanaian content creator, Elvis Frimpong, known in showbiz circles as Osanju has been reported dead.
According to sources, he was said to have died in the early hours on Monday, September 1, 2025 after a long battle with blood cancer (Leukemia)
His death has been a shock in the Ghanaian community especially coming shortly after his last post.
His demise comes five months after he had laid his mother, Amounu, also a tiktoker, to rest, having lost her in January.
Hours before his passing, he had posted a video on Sunday with friends watching the Barcelona vs. Rayo Vallecano match, prompting many fans to initially dismiss the reports as a hoax.
Osanju’s death has been described as a huge loss by followers who admired his openness, resilience and positive outlook in the face of ill health.
However, Osanju had previously shared his battle with leukemia, a cancer of the blood, on his TikTok account, even eerily predicting his own demise on a couple of occasions.
