It would be recalled that on Monday 23rd June 2025, a group of newly trained teachers from the 2022 batch of College of Education graduates staged a protest at the Ghana Education Service (GES) headquarters in Accra over delayed staff identification numbers and months of unpaid salaries.

Answering questions on when stalled GETFund projects and the STEM school in the Weija-Gbawe Constituency will be completed, the Minister indicated that the Consultant on the instruction of the GETFund has recently submitted cost to estimates for the remaining works.

He said this will aid the allocation of funds to ensure the completion of the project, adding that the Ministry is hopeful that once funds are made available, the Project will be completed by the end of the year.
