Atarah Praise 2025 shakes Adenta

The third edition of Atarah Praise brought together hundreds of patrons at the forefront of Believers Grace Crown Ministry International, located at Adenta Barrier last Sunday, May 25, 2025.

The event that served as a platform for believers and many gospel industry stakeholders to converge and exhort their maker.

Kofi Owusu Peprah opened the performances with a breathtaking deliv­ery, which got the whole venue charged.

The host of the night, Prophet Atarah, took his turn amidst an energetic display he is known for.

After taking patrons through his various hits and renditions with Mavis Asante and Piesie Esther, he surprised everyone by playing some instruments live on stage.

This attracted applause from the excited crowd at the event.

Piesie Esther and Mavis Asante took the show to an unstoppable level when they had their turn on the big stage.

Ghanaian gospel talent, Nana Yaw Asare made a rare appearance on the stage to the administra­tion of all, dishing out classic soul-inspiring songs from his repertoire.

Together with all the artistes on the bill, they rocked the gathering and created unforgettable memories.

Determined to touch lives, Prophet Atarah gave away sewing machines to two young ladies and en­rolled them into a fashion school for free.

This, he said, was an initiative by his founda­tion to help society and thanked everyone for join­ing them for an unforget­table time.

All set for ‘Nite with 26th TGMA Artiste of the Year’ on Friday

The second edition of the Telecel Ghana Music Awards Industry Mixer is on the horizon, and it promises to be a dynamic gathering of Ghana’s music heavyweights and behind-the-scenes music makers.

The event is slated to be broadcast live on TV3 on Friday, 6th June at 8pm.

This exclusive event will host the movers, makers, and masterminds of the music ecosystem to celebrate one common language: music.

The night would be headlined by 5 Star General, King Promise, freshly crowned Artiste of the Year, who will not only perform live but also offer attendees a rare glimpse into his personal journey, reflecting on the milestones, challenges, and stories behind the music that earned him top honours.

The evening will also feature show-stopping performances from rising voices like Titi Owusu, Scott Evans, and the genre-bending duo Lali x Lola, adding even more soul and spark to the lineup.

As part of the evening’s highlights, the Mixer will include the formal presentation of plaques to winners of the 26th Telecel Ghana Music Awards, held on May 10, 2025, a night that saw over 20 artistes and music professionals recognised for their exceptional contributions to the industry.

 Play lovers thrilled at ‘Ghana Must Go’ apremiere

It was a moment of joy and excitement as individuals filled the auditorium to watch the premiering of the “Ghana Must Go”, at the Accra International Conference Centre (AICC) in Accra on Saturday.

The play kept the audience glued to their seats as the cast deliver some spectacular per­formances to communicate and present the rich Ghanaian cultural values and identity.

“Ghana Must Go”, a stage play meant to promote the Ghanaian culture through storytelling fea­tured captivating performances and musical interludes.

Written by Latif Abubakar, a renowned playwright, the play, is expected to be showcased global­ly. It served as a powerful ex­pression of the Ghanaian identity and a catalyst for the economic through the arts.

It also highlighted the power of theatre as a tool for cultural expression and national develop­ment.

Speaking to the media after the premiering, Mr Abubakar said he was not surprised by the mas­sive attendance recorded at the premiere.

This, he said, was because those who had bought tickets to watch the premiering were assured of consistency, a good storyline, and entertainment.

Mr Abubakar said that although he was excited about the growth of the theatre industry, there was a lot more that could be done to improve the industry.

“We need to be able to tell our stories. We need to find a creative way of attracting tourists and investors into our country, and I feel theatre will do the magic,” he added.

For his part, Mr Adjetey An­nan, one of the cast in the play, emphasised the need for collabo­ration between players in the cre­ative arts industry in promoting the cultural values and identity of Ghanaians through storytelling.
