Award winning gospel artistes Odehye Naana and Osofobea Gloria are championing the good course of promoting Ghana’s culture to protect the country’s valuable heritage.
The two beautiful singers, Odehye Naana host, and Osofobea Gloria judge, on one of Ghana’s prominent Television reality shows, dubbed “Amamere Hemma” continue to increase awareness about the significance of the Ghanaian culture emphasising the need for various media houses to focus more on promoting local content.
The show is aired every Friday on Atinka Television at 8pm.
Speaking exclusively in an interview with TheSpectatoronline Osofobea Gloria stated that culture was the lifeblood of a vibrant society, adding that it could be “expressed in the many ways we tell our stories, celebrate, remember the past, entertain ourselves, and imagine the future.”
One of the most important things in the Ghanaian culture, she said, was the priority the populace placed on respect for the elderly people, adding that by promoting Ghanaian culture, the customs, languages, rituals, and art forms of diverse groups will be passed down to future generations.
This preservation, she said, ensures that Ghana’s identity remains distinct in an increasingly globalised world.
“By recognizing and valuing the traditions and values of various communities, Ghanaians can develop a greater sense of belonging and inclusivity, ultimately strengthening the nation’s social fabric. This unity is a vital ingredient for social stability and progress,” she stressed.
The musician therefore reiterated the need for Ghanaians to appreciate the cultural values of the country because Ghana’s cultural diversity was a source of pride, and by valuing and celebrating it, the nation could continue to thrive and shine on the global stage while preserving its unique identity for generations to come.
Osofobea Gloria revealed that she and her colleague gospel musician Odehye Naana agreed to be part of the judges for the show because of the realisation that knowledge from such shows helps young people build a stronger sense of identity and pride in their heritage and encourages them to contribute positively to their communities and the nation as a whole.
The talented songstress, Odehye Naana is also the host of Efie Asetena which is shown on Saturdays at 5:30pm and Amammere Hemaa which is also shown on Fridays at 8pm, all on Atinka TV.
Odehye Naana on her part also underscored the relevance of culture to society and urged the public to place value on the heritage of Ghana and Africa at large.
“Celebrating cultural diversity within a country can promote tolerance and respect among different ethnic and cultural groups. Media can play a role in showcasing this diversity and encouraging social cohesion,” Odehye Naana added.

Miss Ghana 2026, Rumzia Sule, has vowed to represent Ghana with excellence as she competes at the 73rd Miss World pageant currently underway in Vietnam.
An International Relations student at Cumbria University who was crowned Miss Ghana 2026 earlier this year, is Ghana’s sole representative at the global competition.
Speaking to The Spectator in an interview before her departure, Rumzia expressed confidence and gratitude for the preparation she has received from the Miss Ghana organization.
“The Miss Ghana team has prepared me very well for the task ahead,” she said.

“My priority is to promote Ghana on the big stage,” she stated. I want the world to see the richness of our heritage and the strength of the Ghanaian women,” she said.
The Miss Ghana queen is also appealing to Ghanaians both home and abroad to rally behind her throughout the competition.
She noted that public support, especially during the voting stages, will be crucial in helping her make a significant mark at Miss World.
“I will need the support of all Ghanaians as we go into the voting process. Let’s do this together for Ghana,” Rumzia rallied support.
Ahead of her departure on Tuesday, the Diaspora Affairs Office at the Office of the President, in partnership with the Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA), presented Ghana’s official charity auction gift to her.
The presentation took place during a brief ceremony at the Diaspora Affairs Office at the Office of the President and formed part of Ghana’s official send-off for the reigning queen ahead of her departure.
The symbolic gift, inspired by Ghana’s iconic Independence Arch, has been designated for the Miss World Charity Auction; one of the festival’s longest-standing traditions.
The 73rd Miss World festival is bringing together contestants from across the globe to compete not only in beauty, but also in talent, sports, and the pageant’s “Beauty With A Purpose” humanitarian project.
With the eyes of the world on Vietnam, Rumzia Sule carries the hopes of a nation as she aims to make Ghana proud.
