Mr. Joseph Boakye Danquah
Mr. Joseph Boakye Danquah, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Joevide Company Limited, was recently called to the Ghana Bar.
He hails from Kyebi in the Akyem Abuakwa Traditional Area and a grand nephew of Dr. Joseph Kwame Kyeretwie Boakye Danquah popularly called J.B Danquah (of blessed Memory) who was a Ghanaian politician, scholar, lawyer, statesman and one of the ‘Big Six’ who fought for Ghana’s independence.
Mr. Boakye Danquah obtained LLB at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Kumasi, Master’s degree in Construction Project Management at HAN University, Netherlands, Honorary Doctorate from Maverick Business University, United Kingdom and Diploma in Building and Civil Engineering at Takoradi Polytechnic now Takoradi Technical University
President John Dramani Mahama has recorded a 72 percent job approval rating, according to a new survey by Global InfoAnalytics.
Executive Director of Global InfoAnalytics, Mussa Dankwah, disclosed the findings during a discussion on the survey results on Channel one TV, Wednesday, August 12, 2026.
He explained that the rating measures public approval of Mr Mahama’s personal performance as President, which is different from citizens’ views about the general direction of the country.
According to him, 21 percent of respondents said they disapprove of the President’s performance, while seven percent had no opinion.
Mr Dankwah described the 72 percent approval rating as “very high” for this stage of Mr Mahama’s presidency. He added that similar surveys conducted by the research firm have produced comparable results within the usual margin of error.
He noted that the President’s strongest support came from the Upper West Region, where his approval rating stood at 92 percent. The Volta Region recorded the second-highest rating at 88 percent.
The survey showed that the Ashanti Region had the lowest approval rating at 56 percent, while the North East Region recorded 59 percent.
Mr Dankwah disclosed that the Savannah Region, which is Mr Mahama’s home region, recorded an approval rating of 62 percent. He remarked that the figure was lower than expected but said such variations are not unusual in public opinion surveys.
During the discussion, Mr Dankwah maintained that citizens can distinguish between their assessment of the President as an individual and their assessment of the performance of his government.
He indicated that Global InfoAnalytics intends to continue tracking public opinion over time to determine whether regional approval patterns remain stable or change.

Tragedy struck on the Accra–Kumasi Highway Wednesday evening when a collision near Paradise Restaurant at Bunso claimed one life and left 14 others injured.
The crash, which occurred on Wednesday, August 12, 2026, involved a MAN Diesel truck and a Toyota Hiace bus.
According to eyewitness accounts and the Eastern Regional PRO, the truck driver reportedly veered into the opposite lane while attempting to give way to an oncoming Toyota Vitz. In the process, it collided head-on with the Hiace bus that was travelling in the other direction.
Emergency responders from the Bunso Fire Station arrived at the scene promptly. Firefighters worked to extricate victims, provide first aid, salvage personal belongings, and clear debris from the road to restore free flow of traffic.
One person was confirmed dead at the scene. The 14 injured passengers were rushed to a nearby health facility for treatment. The extent of their injuries is yet to be disclosed.
The accident caused a temporary disruption on the busy Accra–Kumasi stretch, one of Ghana’s major highways, before the Fire Service cleared the wreckage.
