Atarah Praise 2025 shakes Adenta

The third edition of Atarah Praise brought together hundreds of patrons at the forefront of Believers Grace Crown Ministry International, located at Adenta Barrier last Sunday, May 25, 2025.
The event that served as a platform for believers and many gospel industry stakeholders to converge and exhort their maker.
Kofi Owusu Peprah opened the performances with a breathtaking delivery, which got the whole venue charged.
The host of the night, Prophet Atarah, took his turn amidst an energetic display he is known for.
After taking patrons through his various hits and renditions with Mavis Asante and Piesie Esther, he surprised everyone by playing some instruments live on stage.
This attracted applause from the excited crowd at the event.
Piesie Esther and Mavis Asante took the show to an unstoppable level when they had their turn on the big stage.
Ghanaian gospel talent, Nana Yaw Asare made a rare appearance on the stage to the administration of all, dishing out classic soul-inspiring songs from his repertoire.
Together with all the artistes on the bill, they rocked the gathering and created unforgettable memories.
Determined to touch lives, Prophet Atarah gave away sewing machines to two young ladies and enrolled them into a fashion school for free.
This, he said, was an initiative by his foundation to help society and thanked everyone for joining them for an unforgettable time.

Breaking News: Daddy Lumba is dead – Family announces

Ghanaian music legend Charles Kojo Fosu, popularly known as Daddy Lumba, has died.
His family confirmed the sad news in a press release issued on Saturday, saying the 60-year-old passed away earlier in the day after a short illness.
“It is with profound sorrow and deep grief that the Fosu family announces the passing of Ghana’s beloved musical icon,” the statement read.
Daddy Lumba was one of Ghana’s most celebrated highlife musicians. With a career spanning more than three decades, his songs touched millions, telling stories of love, pain, joy, and hope.
He was known for his powerful voice, emotional lyrics, and unique style that made him a household name across the country and beyond.
“His soulful voice provided the soundtrack to our love stories, and his poignant lyrics captured the poetry of our struggles, dreams, and resilience,” the family said.
The family has asked for privacy as they mourn their loss and promised to announce funeral arrangements in the coming days.
The statement was signed by Fati Ali Yallah, a lawyer from Baba Jamal & Associates, on behalf of the Fosu family.
Fans, fellow musicians, and Ghanaians across the country have started pouring out tributes on social media, remembering Daddy Lumba’s unmatched contribution to Ghanaian music.

Kwabena Kwabena launches ‘Aso’ @20, set to embark on global tour

The Ace highlife musician Kwabena Kwabena, known in private life as George Kwabena Adu, has launched ‘Aso’ @20, to celebrate the song which ushered him to the mainstream music industry.
The song, was originally released in 2004 as part of his debut album. ‘Aso’ featured other timeless tracks such as ‘Ka Kyere Me’ and ‘Trodom’.
The launch event took place on Friday, July 18, 2025 at Corks Lounge in Osu and was hosted by renowned broadcaster Andy Dosty.
“It’s an honour to see ‘Aso’, now 20 years old, still resonating with audiences and being performed by a new generation of artistes.”
Kwabena Kwabena also recounted how some executive producers among others rejected the song, due to the trends at the time.
He expressed his appreciation to all those who have contributed to his success over the period.
As part of the year-long celebration, Kwabena Kwabena announced a world tour that will span Africa, Europe, North America and Australia.
The concerts, set to begin in August, will take place in more intimate venues to allow for closer engagement with fans.
