Reggae musician and maverick broadcaster, Blakk Rasta has taken a dig at Sarkodie for his verse of the late Bob Marley’s Stir It Up song.
Speaking on Black Pot segment on his Urban Blend programme on 3FM, Blakk Rasta said what Sarkodie did on the Bob Marley song was a desecration of the Holy Music and legacy of Bob Marley.
.
“I’m going to bruise more egos, what Sarkodie did was nothing but a desecration of the legacy of Bob Marley, it is a desecration of the Holy music of Bob Marley, it is so shameful,” he said.
He further added that “is like a King has been buried, you dig him up and steal his gold and diamond he has been buried with, you urinate right into the grave and you walk away laughing like a mad man on heat,” the livid Blakk Rasta said.
According to him, it hurts him so much that he decided never to talk about the issue, “Sarkodie allowed himself to be used to desecrate the legacy of Bob Marley.”
“What is special about what Sarkodie did, the one way rap which has been on all these years?,”Black Rasta queried.
The “Barack Obama” hit maker further added that what Sarkodie does is nothing but one way rap and people are not ready to speak the truth.
According to him, “Bob Marley was a King in his own right, a legend in the world of Reggae who culturalised and spiritualised reggae at the same time.”
Bob Marley and the Wailer featuring Sarkodie on Stir It Up was released on January 20, 2023 and the music video has been trending on Youtube.
