All set for the premiere of ‘The Storm’ tomorrow

All is set for the premiere of the star-studded movie dubbed, ‘The Storm’ on Saturday, September  21 at the Silverbird cinemas in Accra.

The movie stars Ama K. Abebrese, Adjetey Anang, Fiifi Coleman, Samini, Ken Fiati, Oscar Provencal, Salma Mumin, Edward Agyekum Kuffuor, Edinam Atatsi, and Luckie Lawson among other amazing Ghanaian actors.

Speaking to spectator.com.gh ahead of the movie premiere, Ama K. Abebrese urged Ghanaians to inculcate the habit of going to the cinemas after movie premieres.

According to her, this is the only way producers and other stakeholders in the industry would be kept in business.

Mr.Edward Kufuor, son of the former president, John Agyekum Kufuor on his part said, the movie industry needs the support of all and sundry to be at the premiere on Saturday.

Actress Salma Mumin also called on all movie lovers to be at the Silverbirds to see an amazing production put together.

Touching on her new role in the movie, Salma Mumin said,”I started singing in the church, and I have always loved to sing and that is what I did in the movie. I really enjoyed it. So come to the silverbird and watch my new role.”

In “The Storm” a city is plagued by crime and corruption. Detectives Danso (Adjetey Anang) and Lynn (Ama K. Abebrese) are the only honest members of the law enforcement team.

Social activist Milly (Luckie Lawson) is determined to fight for justice and protect young people from harm.

When a teenage boy is murdered and three young women, including Milly’s niece, are kidnapped and killed, the city is thrown into chaos. Danso and Milly take it upon themselves to bring the perpetrators to justice. As they delve deeper into the investigation, they uncover a web of corruption and face opposition from powerful individuals.

The film explores themes of justice, corruption, and social activism. It follows Milly’s journey as she becomes a prominent figure in the fight against crime and her confrontation with the country’s president.

Miss Tourism Ghana princesses dazzle patrons at Regional Costume & Talent Night show

It was a night of colour, culture and creativity as Miss Tourism Ghana successfully held its Regional Costume & Talent Night in Accra.

The event drew fashion lovers, culture enthusiasts, and proud supporters who came out to witness Ghana’s beauty queens represent their regions on one grand stage. 

From the moment guests stepped in, the atmosphere was electric, ushering,

Okra, Zabe, Gina, Akpe, Sela, Afia,Asher and Ajua into the auditorium to mesmerize patrons.

The blistering night, commenced with a breathtaking regional costumes rocked by contestants that told stories of Ghana’s traditions from, african print, kente, smock, batakari, beads and other indigenous fabrics.

 Each outfit with beautiful local accessories to match was paired with confidence, poise, and pride.

The night then shifted gears into the talent segment. The audience was treated to powerful performances traditional dance, spoken word, fashion, singing, and drama all centered on promoting Ghana’s tourism and heritage.

The judges were stunned with the various displays and passed favorable commentaries encouraging the contestants to keep giving their all.

 Patrons left with unforgettable moments, and the contestants delivered to their expectations.

Organisers of Miss Tourism Ghana congratulated all the amazing participants who took part and urged them to forged ahead strongly before the grand final.

They also, encouraged families and friends to keep their favourite in the competition through their campaigns and votes.

The search for Ghana’s next tourism ambassador is officially on, and the competition is getting tighter with each stage.

Beyond the glamour, Miss Tourism Ghana continues to use the platform to market Ghana’s tourist sites, culture and hospitality to the world. 

The Regional Costume & Talent Night served as both entertainment and education, reminding Ghanaians of the beauty in our diversity.
