Sarkodie is the only musician who gave me money after our accident- Yaw Sarpong
Ghanaian gospel legend, Yaw Sarpong has disclosed that multiple award winning rapper Sarkodie was the only musician who gave him money after their dreadful accident.
Yaw Sarpong disclosed this in an interview on Onua FM’s Anigye Mmre programme with Christian Adjei Frimpong.
According to him, Sarkodie is not the kind of person others are trying to paint, adding that he is a wonderful perform.
He added that Sarkodie’s love and respect for humanity is incomparable.
Yaw Sarpong further expressed appreciation to Ayisha Modi, manager of Kenyan superstar, Victoria Kemani for her support.
According to him, Ayisha Modi has also shown concern and wants to change his life.
The veteran musician and his team were involved in a near-fatal accident last year.
The accident occured when an over-speeding truck trying to overtake another vehicle took over their lane—and in an attempt to avoid a head-on collision, the car which the gospel star was in, got hit by a different vehicle.
The vehicle of Mr Sarpong landed in a ditch after it was hit by the other vehicle.Occupants in the vehicle, including the veteran musician and his backing vocalist, Maame Tiwaa, and some team members sustained some injuries.

She earned a distinction from the University of Law after completing the Bar Practice Course and received the Dean’s Award for Excellence Scholarship.
The former beauty queen stated that she sees law as a continuation of her purpose, using it as a tool for empowerment, justice, and social impact, particularly for women and vulnerable communities. Ms. Patty, who currently serves on the Board of FOCOS Orthopaedic Hospital and chairs the Miss Ghana Foundation, said that law has always aligned with her bigger plans, and she was glad to have finally fulfilled her dreams.
Miss Patty holds an MSc in Accounting and Finance from the London School of Economics, a GDL and BPC with Distinction from the University of Law, and a certificate in Mediation and Negotiation. Her legal training has included judicial shadowing at the Business and Property Courts and Immigration and Asylum Chamber, as well as pro bono work at the Immigration Tribunal (Taylor House), reflecting her passion for justice.
Among the notable personalities present were Ghana’s High Commissioner to the UK, Mrs. Zita Benson and her husband Mr. Bobby Benson, Mr. Kwabena Osei-Danquah, Chief of Staff at the Commonwealth Secretariat, London, and Eileen Baguma, General Manager of EIB Network, Founder and President of Women in Sustainability Africa.
