Hundreds thrilled at maiden Atarah Praise

It was an atmosphere filled with a lot of thanksgiving at the maiden Atarah Praise organised by the singing Prophet, Joseph Atarah.
The event held yesterday at the Ghana Tertiary Education Commission auditorium at Trinity Avenue, East Legon, brought heavyweights in gospel music, industry players, and believers together.
Hundreds of patrons in the auditorium were privileged to witness a performance from the legendary gospel musician, with over three decades of churning out wonderful songs, Rev. Mensah Bonsu.
The night an awesome turn with a performance from dynamic Ruth Adjei, one of Ghana’s finest budding gospel musicians. She rocked the patrons with an amazing display on the night.
Known for his appellations, Oheneba Clement got patrons in the room to be on their feet to give thanks and exalt the Almighty God.
Male Vocalist and Songwriter of the Year at the just-ended Vodafone Ghana Music Awards, Perez Musik serenaded the atmosphere in the auditorium with his powerful voice and showmanship on stage.
Empress Gifty, also took her turn to lead the gathering for an unforgettable encounter with God, as she took them through her new song “Awiey3 Pa”, and one of her classics, F3f33f3.
An interesting moment was when, Empress Gifty joined Obaapa Christy, ACP Kofi Sarpong, Jack Alolome, Prophet Atarah, and Piesie Esther down the stage to praise God together in style.
The moment came for Prophet Atarah, the man everyone had been waiting for to take his turn to be a blessing to the gathering.
Clad in his all-white apparel, Prophet Atarah brought out his multi-tasking side, as he was seen playing the trumpet, ‘Dondo’, conga, and other drums in between his performance.
After singing his Adom Nyame song, he was joined by Piesie Esther, as they sang his ‘Woye Odo’ song together at the event.
Gospel Artiste Of The Year at the just Vodafone Ghana Music Awards, Piesie Esther opened her performance with ‘Waye Me Yie’ which brought all those in the auditorium on their feet.
She also took the audience through some songs in her repertoire which got everyone dancing.
The event was crowned in style as all the gospel musicians and Men of God present joined Prophet Atarah to cut the cake and pop champagne to usher in the maiden edition of Atarah Praise and celebrate 17 years in the prophetic ministry.
Apostle Emmanuel Nkum of Radiant Place Church had his time to give some words of exaltation aimed at raising support for Prophet Atarah’s career.
Speaking to Thespectatoronline, after the programme, Prophet Atarah expressed gratitude to God and appreciation to his colleagues who graced the occasion to make it a success.
He also thanked members of Believers Grace Ministry for their unflinching support to his Ministry.

Piesie Esther targets 3 top prizes at 2026 Telecel Music Awards

Ghanaian gospel dynamo, Piesie Esther, has expressed her readiness to take home the Gospel Artiste of the Year, Telecel Most Popular Song of the Year and Traditional Gospel Song of the Year awards at this year’s Telecel Ghana Music Awards.
The musician with many years of success under her belt in the gospel music industry has been nominated for three categories at this year’s Telecel Ghana Music Awards.
Piesie Esther was nominated for Gospel Artiste of the Year, Traditional Gospel Song of the Year, and Most Popular Song of the Year with her smash hit, Nyame Ye.
The award-winning musician believes that she had a wonderful year in 2025, which deserves recognition.
According to her, with over 36 shows, millions of streams enjoyed by her Nyame Ye song, coupled with numerous brand engagements, she was in a pole position to outwit other competitors.
“Family, I need your love and support now more than ever! I’ve been nominated at the Telecel Ghana Music Awards and we’re going all out for the win! ,” she noted.
She called on all and sundry that “Every single vote counts, and I truly appreciate your continuous support. Let’s do this together.”
This year’s Telecel Ghana Music Awards is slated for May 9, 2026 at the Palms Convention Centre in Accra.

Okyeame Kwame, others thrill hundreds at 50th birthday bash

Patrons at +233 Bar and Lounge had an unforgettable experience at the OK@50 All White Birthday Party last Saturday, April 18.
The Ghanaian music icon, Okyeame Kwame, turned 50 years last Friday, April 17, 2026.
Against this backdrop, the ‘Rap Dacta’ organised an All-White Party on Saturday to mark his 50th birthday to raise funds for the construction of a Paediatric Emergency Ward at the Manhyia Hospital.
This is a legacy project the musician is embarking on to mark his 50th birthday.
As part of the concert, patrons were treated to scintillating live performances by Afriyie Wutah, Akwaboah, Sista Afia, Kuami Eugene, KiDi, Kwabena Kwabena, Ras Kuuku, Abiana, Adina, Abochi, Kweku Darlington, and Kunta Kinte of Bradez fame.
One of the country’s finest DJs, Andy Dosty, also had his turn to mesmerise the patrons with hits from the past to present, a moment which saw many patrons on their feet for most of the time.
Okyeame Kwame rocked the gathering with numerous hits from his repertoire, including his new song dubbed ‘Clap.’
He also expressed appreciation to those who has genuinely supported his career to impact the lives of others.
