Boy Nephron, also known in private life as Charles Cleland Bruce is a fast-rising musician breaking into the industry at a fast pace.
His journey into the industry has been a long one, with him exploring his musical talents from a tender age and incorporating music into his life since childhood.
“I started trying out with different types of musical instruments at a tender age. As a kid I used to gather cooking utensils and milk containers which I played as my drum set,” He said.
He explored that talent further at Church, first beginning as a pianist at his home church and trying his hands on other instruments before finding his voice at the admiration of his church members with his vocals.
“The very first time I sang in church,” Nephron beams while looking back at that time, “everyone was taken by surprise because they only knew me as an instrumentalist, everyone was happy with my administration,” Boy Nephron said.
His path to music was threatened as Nephron was made to choose between pursuing his love for music professionally or abandoning it to focus on school.
He spoke candidly about that experience and how that has now led him to stand firmly both in music and nursing, saying; “Time came that I wanted to pursue music professionally, but I was advised to focus on my schooling which I did, and now I am also a qualified nurse.”
Two events almost derailed his music dream which were, the accident and the passing of his mum but due to his passion for music, he has been able to get back on his feet to continue focusing on his dreams.
All these events have inspired him to shift from dealing with things about ego to talking about grace and how things are going well for him.
The evolution of Boy Nephron, the man whom trials and tribulations found in the industry is out with two hit singles titled “Luv U Taya” and “Higher.” Along with an EP titled“Mr Luver with Grace” which features six songs; four love songs and two motivational songs that fans will love and relate to.
He’s also working with big names in the industry, with Nephron collaborating with Kelvynboy, Article Wan, and KristoffMWB in recent times.
Boy Nephron has been touted by industry players as the next big name in Ghana’s entertainment scene.
It was a night of colour, culture and creativity as Miss Tourism Ghana successfully held its Regional Costume & Talent Night in Accra.
The event drew fashion lovers, culture enthusiasts, and proud supporters who came out to witness Ghana’s beauty queens represent their regions on one grand stage.
From the moment guests stepped in, the atmosphere was electric, ushering,
Okra, Zabe, Gina, Akpe, Sela, Afia,Asher and Ajua into the auditorium to mesmerize patrons.
The blistering night, commenced with a breathtaking regional costumes rocked by contestants that told stories of Ghana’s traditions from, african print, kente, smock, batakari, beads and other indigenous fabrics.
Each outfit with beautiful local accessories to match was paired with confidence, poise, and pride.
The night then shifted gears into the talent segment. The audience was treated to powerful performances traditional dance, spoken word, fashion, singing, and drama all centered on promoting Ghana’s tourism and heritage.
The judges were stunned with the various displays and passed favorable commentaries encouraging the contestants to keep giving their all.
Patrons left with unforgettable moments, and the contestants delivered to their expectations.
Organisers of Miss Tourism Ghana congratulated all the amazing participants who took part and urged them to forged ahead strongly before the grand final.
They also, encouraged families and friends to keep their favourite in the competition through their campaigns and votes.
The search for Ghana’s next tourism ambassador is officially on, and the competition is getting tighter with each stage.
Beyond the glamour, Miss Tourism Ghana continues to use the platform to market Ghana’s tourist sites, culture and hospitality to the world.
The Regional Costume & Talent Night served as both entertainment and education, reminding Ghanaians of the beauty in our diversity.
