SDK wins Star Beer ‘Shine On’ influencer cooking contest

It was a night filled with excitement as some Ghanaian media personalities and influencers had an awesome time competing among themselves at the kitchen.
The event which was powered by Star Beer was dubbed “Shine On” brought together many influencers and media personalities to fraternise and compete.
The programme was set against the backdrop of live music, a talent show, cooking competition to celebrate the quality and refreshing Star beer.
At the end of the cooking contest, a Ghanaian comedian known in private life as Sadik Sulley, affectionately called SDK was adjudged winner after he prepared a delicious groundnut soup to the admiration of all.
For his prize, he took home GH¢2000 and other souvenirs from Star Beer.
He outwitted competitors, Karen Jacqueline and Bosslady who took the second and third places respectively.
The Brands Manager for Star Beer, Papa Kwaku Owusu Agyemang Osei, told The Spectator Agoro, that the reason behind the event was to bring together the media and influencers who have been their advocates over the years to experience the all-new Star Beer.
He said they started some activations last year and have since been on the road, adding that it was the time for the people of Accra to experience it.
“This soiree is a testament to Star Beer’s commitment to quality and innovation. We are thrilled to have shared our passion for brewing excellence with such esteemed guests and look forward to continuing to shine together,” he added.
The platform also served as a springboard for up-and-coming artistes and poets among others to exhibit their talents.

Inna Patty Called to the Bar of England

Ms. Inna Mariam Patty, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Exclusive Events Ghana, was called on Tuesday to the Bar of England and Wales at a ceremony held by the Honourable Society of Lincoln’s Inn. She earned a distinction from the University of Law after completing the Bar Practice Course and received the Dean’s Award for Excellence Scholarship.
The former beauty queen stated that she sees law as a continuation of her purpose, using it as a tool for empowerment, justice, and social impact, particularly for women and vulnerable communities. Ms. Patty, who currently serves on the Board of FOCOS Orthopaedic Hospital and chairs the Miss Ghana Foundation, said that law has always aligned with her bigger plans, and she was glad to have finally fulfilled her dreams.
Miss Patty holds an MSc in Accounting and Finance from the London School of Economics, a GDL and BPC with Distinction from the University of Law, and a certificate in Mediation and Negotiation. Her legal training has included judicial shadowing at the Business and Property Courts and Immigration and Asylum Chamber, as well as pro bono work at the Immigration Tribunal (Taylor House), reflecting her passion for justice.
Among the notable personalities present were Ghana’s High Commissioner to the UK, Mrs. Zita Benson and her husband Mr. Bobby Benson, Mr. Kwabena Osei-Danquah, Chief of Staff at the Commonwealth Secretariat, London, and Eileen Baguma, General Manager of EIB Network, Founder and President of Women in Sustainability Africa.
