Ama Kutin serenades music lovers with visuals of‘Eye Adom’

Seven7 Africa signee, Ama Kutin, a US-based Ghanaian gospel musician after making an enormous statement earlier this year with her remarkable ‘Journey Album’ has released captivating visuals for her song Eye Adom.

The song is off her ‘Journey’album which has been received well by music lovers and bagged two nominations in the Ghana Music Awards USA for both New Artiste And Female Vocalist Of The Year.

A renowned Doctor of Physical Therapy in the United States of America, Ama Kutin has released what could be described as simple, detailed but catchy visuals for the song.

The current trend of marketing one’s craft beyond the four walls of various church auditoriums through digital means has caused a revolution in the promotion of gospel music.

For this reason, Ama Kutin has put in place all the necessary measures to ensure she reaches out to the whole world.

‘The Journey album was launched in a grand style on February 1, 2023, amidst virtual and in-person listening session graced by many prominent individuals around the Christian fraternity.

Gospel musicians like Herty Corgie and Humphrey Tetteh amongst others were present at the launch at the event that shook the diaspora gospel space.

More so, Ama Kutin’s ‘Eye Adom’ deeply represents the aura of her ten-track album titled ‘The Journey’ which features artistes like Koda and The Manifest GH.

The colourful music video was shot and directed by Seven7 Africa Production with the song produced by music maven KODA (KODED STUDIOS) and lyrics written by Bright Amankwah.

Shatta Wale bags two awards at 43rd IRAWMA Awards

Ghanaian dancehall artiste Charles Nii Armah Mensah, known as Shatta Wale, has won two awards at the 43rd International Reggae and World Music Awards (IRAWMA) held in Florida over the weekend. 

He picked up the Best African Dancehall Entertainer award as well as Concert of the Year for ShattaFest. 

In a statement, Shatta Wale’s management expressed appreciation to the organisers and supporters of the awards. 

“Management would like to sincerely appreciate the organisers of the IRAWMA awards for the recognition and continuous support for African music on the global stage.

“We also extend our deepest gratitude to fans across the world, especially the Shatta Movement fraternity, for their unwavering support, votes, and dedication throughout the years,” the statement said. 

The statement added that the latest wins reaffirm the artiste’s position as one of Africa’s leading musical exports and a prominent figure in global dancehall culture. 

The awards bring Shatta Wale’s total haul at the IRAWMA to 11, highlighting his continued presence on the international reggae and dancehall scene.

At last year’s edition, he won three awards: Best African Dancehall Entertainer, Best Music Video for “Killa Ji Mi”, and Best Crossover Song for “Commando” featuring Bounty Killer. -GNA
