Ghanaians are set to have the time of their lives as pioneers in the country’s comedy industry join forces with a new generation of comedians for an unforgettable experience of over bursting into laughter.
The maiden stand-up comedy festival, dubbed “Comic & Comedy” and powered by JPS Communications with support from Superfam Network, is slated for Saturday, July 22, and Sunday, July 23, 2023, at Accra’s National Theatre.

The hilarious show “Comic & Comedy,” which has assembled top-notch comedians from the industry, will feature stunning performances from the old, current, and future generation of comedians under one roof for two nights, with shows at 4 pm and 8 pm each day.
Unleashing the atmosphere of uncontrolled laughter would be veteran politician and communications consultant, Fritz Baffour and astute broadcaster and actor, Mikki Osei Berko.
Complementing these legends would be the touch-bearers of the current generation, Foster Romanus, Clemento Suarez, Jacinta, OB Amponsah, Lekzy Decomic, Jeneral Ntatia, Afia Barcelona, Putogo and Yaa Anima.
The brain behind the event, Francis Tetteh Nutakor has pointed out that the Comedy industry is evolving, and for this reason, he thought it prudent to stage a show that will blend the old, current and future generation to commemorate milestones achieved.
He commented that the strides made from the days of concert parties and other comedy shows on television and the continuing impact of the present generation of comedians is a contribution to growth that should be celebrated.
Mr. Nutakor added that the festival’s goal is to recognize everyone who has contributed to the field, and this is what led to the collaboration.
Additionally, he thinks that this would provide the next generation a chance to draw from the well of wisdom that the space legends have to offer.
He continued by saying that in order to ensure that all of the groups were properly catered to, the organizers took into account the numerous patron segmentations.
There will be musical performances, dancing performances, networking opportunities, and more to make sure that the crowd’s excitement reaches a noticeable peak. Tickets for normal and VIP admission cost GHS150 and GHS250, respectively.

Miss Tourism Ghana princesses dazzle patrons at Regional Costume & Talent Night show

It was a night of colour, culture and creativity as Miss Tourism Ghana successfully held its Regional Costume & Talent Night in Accra.
The event drew fashion lovers, culture enthusiasts, and proud supporters who came out to witness Ghana’s beauty queens represent their regions on one grand stage.
From the moment guests stepped in, the atmosphere was electric, ushering,
Okra, Zabe, Gina, Akpe, Sela, Afia,Asher and Ajua into the auditorium to mesmerize patrons.
The blistering night, commenced with a breathtaking regional costumes rocked by contestants that told stories of Ghana’s traditions from, african print, kente, smock, batakari, beads and other indigenous fabrics.
Each outfit with beautiful local accessories to match was paired with confidence, poise, and pride.
The night then shifted gears into the talent segment. The audience was treated to powerful performances traditional dance, spoken word, fashion, singing, and drama all centered on promoting Ghana’s tourism and heritage.
The judges were stunned with the various displays and passed favorable commentaries encouraging the contestants to keep giving their all.
Patrons left with unforgettable moments, and the contestants delivered to their expectations.
Organisers of Miss Tourism Ghana congratulated all the amazing participants who took part and urged them to forged ahead strongly before the grand final.
They also, encouraged families and friends to keep their favourite in the competition through their campaigns and votes.
The search for Ghana’s next tourism ambassador is officially on, and the competition is getting tighter with each stage.
Beyond the glamour, Miss Tourism Ghana continues to use the platform to market Ghana’s tourist sites, culture and hospitality to the world.
The Regional Costume & Talent Night served as both entertainment and education, reminding Ghanaians of the beauty in our diversity.
