A Delhi Police constable has come to the rescue of underprivileged children seeking education in the national capital during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
While most schools are still undertaking online classes, the policeman – Constable Than Singh – was forced to resume classes as most of his pupils could not afford to purchase a mobile phone.
A majority of students attending the classes were children of labourers residing in the area.
Than Singh said that, the school had been closed for the children’s safety. But, he decided to resume when many students were not able to take online classes.
The classes were being run in accordance with COVID-19 safety protocols. Singh was providing sanitisers and masks for the students while observing social distancing in the class.

A drunk man comes home late. His wife sees him and angrily exclaims, “Are you drunk again?!”
The man shakes his head and answers, “No, I am not drunk!”
“Okay, then prove it. There’s a clock over there. Can you tell the time?”
“Of course I can!” says the man.
