Electroland Ghana Limited “Egg-Citing” Easter promotion

Electronics and appliances company Electroland Ghana Limited(EGL) has launched “Egg-Citing” Easter celebration packages with price discounts for their customers.

This package dubbed “Egg-citing” Easter promotion is aimed at cushioning the customers following some difficult times caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

According to the Marketing/Media Relations Manager, Adizah Kuburah Abu, EGL is customer-centric and will not relent on their efforts to give their customers a special treat.

“ It is only in line that, we reduce prices and give out gifts also to appreciate our customers,” she said.

Adizah Kuburah Abu took advantage of the opportunity to wish everyone a safe Easter Celebration and stressed on the need for the continued practice of COVID- 19 safety measures.

“From now to the end of April, 2021 visit any Electroland showroom across Ghana or authorised dealer stores to enjoy the “Egg-citing” Easter Promotion, don’t have a bad Easter when we can make it memorable,” she said.

Sofo Azorka arrested, granted bail; to face court over alleged assault in Akwatia – Police

The Ghana Police Service has confirmed the arrest of Alhaji Sofo Azorka in connection with an alleged assault on Alhaji Masawudu Osman during the Akwatia by-election on September 2, 2025.

In a statement signed by the Public Affairs Unit of the Eastern South Regional Command, DSP David Fianko Okyere of the police said Azorka was arrested in Tamale on September 10, 2025, as part of ongoing investigations.

The police revealed that a caution statement was taken from the suspect, after which he was granted bail.

He has been instructed to report to the Eastern South Regional Police Command in Kyebi on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, at 10 a.m., where he is expected to be arraigned before court.

The police assured the public of thorough investigations into the matter and called on everyone to remain calm as further updates will be communicated.

President John Dramani Mahama to kick off 2025/26 Premier League season in Accra


The 2025/26 Premier League will officially kick off on Friday, September 12, 2025, at the Accra Sports Stadium, with the President of the Republic, John Dramani Mahama, performing the ceremonial kick-off ahead of the season opener between Accra Hearts of Oak and league debutants Hohoe United.

President Mahama will be joined by Football Association President Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku, members of the Executive Council and football fans from across the capital as the curtain rises on what promises to be one of the most exciting campaigns in recent years.

Giants Hearts of Oak will open their quest for a league title when they take on newly promoted Hohoe United under the floodlights of the Accra Sports Stadium. Kick-off is scheduled for 7:00 pm local time (19:00 GMT).

The Phobians, bolstered by new signings and a strong pre-season campaign, are eager to end a four-year run without an opening-day victory, while United will be aiming to make a statement in their first-ever top-flight match.
