Mama Toli Toli, dance crew steals show at MTN Festival of Nine Lessons & Carols

When the lineup for this year’s MTN Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols was revealed, many were excited to witness performances from the evergreen Samini and Terminator hitmaker King Promise among others.
However, the highlight of the night was not one of the mainstream musicians but rather a regular fish seller who has recently gained popularity on social media.
The surprise of the night and patrons’ toast was ‘Mama Toli Toli’ and friends led by certified professional dancer, Official Starter.
Mama Toli Toli(not her real name), recently became popular on social media following her ridiculous rendition of Asake’s Lonely at the Top.
Her unique twist of the lyrics in the song caught huge attention, making her one of the biggest social media entertainers during the last quarter of the year.
She did not disappoint with her usual antics and dance moves when she appeared on stage with her team to entertain the audience.
As usual, she drew large cheers and many especially young folks in the audience sang along to her renditions.
They wowed the crowd with their hilarious dance move and set the night for more excitement.
Just when the audience thought they had enough, Mama Toli Toli appeared again with Official Starter to take the eight lessons for the night.
Her hilarious ‘misrepresentation’ in an attempt to repeat the scriptures read by Official Starter left the audience laughing all along.
That notwithstanding, the usual ‘culprits’ Samini, King Promise, Freda Rhymz and the MTN Viva Voices entertained patrons with his amazing performances.
With various renditions of Christmas carols and their songs amidst lessons read by distinguished guests, it was a night to remember for patrons.
