Iona to perform at the Celebration of His Grace concert
Ghanaian gospel musician Bernard Amankwah has teamed up with five other anointed musicians for the 16th edition of the Celebration of His Grace concert.
This year’s edition is slated for September 24, at the National Theatre.
Supporting him on the day for an unforgettable experience is Perez Musik, Nii Soul, Michael Kesseh, Jayana and hitherto secular artiste, Iona.
Speaking at the launch of the concert on Tuesday in Accra, Bernard Amankwah said that for 16 years, God had been good to him and the team and Ghana as a whole.
He said the event was to thank God, hence the theme, ‘My Offering.’
Bernard Amankwah said the inclusion of Iona was to make a statement that God can use anyone to be a blessing to others.
“This year, I have my special sister, a very powerful, anointed woman of God, Iona. I know she will be a blessing to people this year,” he said.
The Presence hit maker further disclosed that “I have had calls, people are talking, why Iona, why not Iona? Who made you a judge in God’s Vineyard, who determines who should sing for God and who should not sing for God.”
He said the inclusion of Irene Logan some time ago was met by similar concerns, but today, she is ministering and saving lives in the United States of America.
According to him, everyone has a time when God would call them and urged Christians to desist from being judgmental.
On her part, Iona said that sometimes people made her feel unwelcome as a born-again Christian, however, Pastor Bernard Amankwah had shown love and received her well.
She expressed appreciation to all those who supported her throughout her ministry.

Osanju is dead
Popular Ghanaian content creator, Elvis Frimpong, known in showbiz circles as Osanju has been reported dead.
According to sources, he was said to have died in the early hours on Monday, September 1, 2025 after a long battle with blood cancer (Leukemia)
His death has been a shock in the Ghanaian community especially coming shortly after his last post.
His demise comes five months after he had laid his mother, Amounu, also a tiktoker, to rest, having lost her in January.
Hours before his passing, he had posted a video on Sunday with friends watching the Barcelona vs. Rayo Vallecano match, prompting many fans to initially dismiss the reports as a hoax.
Osanju’s death has been described as a huge loss by followers who admired his openness, resilience and positive outlook in the face of ill health.
However, Osanju had previously shared his battle with leukemia, a cancer of the blood, on his TikTok account, even eerily predicting his own demise on a couple of occasions.
