Candidates who excelled at the 2021 BECE received awards

All roads lead to Cape Coast in the Central Region as visitors and tourists join the 65th Independence Day celebration in the town tomorrow.

The celebration, dubbed, “Working Together; Bouncing Back Better,” had been preceded by a number of activities including clean-up, fitness walk as well as prayer and thanksgiving service.

Among other outcomes, the event is expected to boost the local economy and project the rich cultural heritage of the region while separate Independence Day parades take place simultaneously across the country.

The Prime Minister of Barbados, Mia Amor Mottley, and other special envoys and diplomatic corps are expected to grace the national event.

President Akufo-Addo speaking at the Independence Day Awards on Wednesday admonished Ghanaians to be “patient with the government as it continues to establish a solid foundation for the economic takeoff.”
