All set for Aseda Kesie on March 13

Patrons of this year’s Aseda Kesie concert would have an experience of a lifetime as anointed worship leaders have been paraded to lead the charge.

This year’s event is slated for the  Church of Pentecost,  Coco-Beach (Zion) in Accra, at 2pm, on March 13, 2022.

Participants will witness a spirit-filled ministration from host, Deacon Daniel Bieni, and words of exaltation from Pastor Abena Amponsah and Prof.Nii Amartey.

Other ministers who will grace the event with their powerful performance on the day are Oheneba Clement Nana Ama, Richard Hagan, Adobea Sikapa and Saviour.

Speaking to The Spectator, the brain behind the event, Deacon Daniel Bieni said. “The focus of the event is to give thanks to God for His mercies of the years”.

“God has been Good to us,  and protected us from all the challenges so, we believe it is prudent for us to offer our thanksgiving,” he said.

He stated that they would donate all the proceeds to orphanage to cater for the down-trodden.

Deacon Bieni called on all and sundry to be part of the event to be a blessing to the underprivileged.

Womba Drumming and Dance set to tour UK

 Womba Africa Drumming and Dance ensemble, a traditional cultural troupe in Ghana, is set to embark on an exciting tour of the UK.

Renowned for their use of tradi­tional instruments to create me­lodious, original compositions, the troupe never fails to get audiences on their feet with their high-energy performances.

“Womba” means “We are coming” in the local Ga dialect, and true to their name, the troupe makes a powerful impression wherever they go. Their upcoming UK tour, sched­uled for September and October 2025, promises an immersive cultural experience centered on drumming and dancing.

From September 18 to 20, the troupe will host a workshop and training programme.

This event will delve into the history and origins of various dance styles, showcase traditional costumes and instruments, include storytelling sessions, and provide hands-on train­ing in dance techniques, among other activities.

The workshop will take place at Lewsey Community Centre Landrace Road Luton LU4 OSW.

In an interview with their manager, Felix Nii Okai Nummello, he ex­pressed their anticipation for the world to know how hard work­ing the group has been over the years.

“A lot of preparation is ongoing, and we are surely going to make Africa proud on this tour”, he said.
