Kumasi Asante Kotoko have set their sights on breaking their winless runs in the ongoing Ghana Premier League (GPL) when they welcome league leaders Samartex FC to the Baba Yara Stadium tomorrow in their match day 27 fixture.

Kotoko has endured a winless streak spanning seven games under Coach Prosper Narteh Ogum, a phenomenon that is not synonymous with the club.

With only a single victory in their last nine games of the ongoing league, Porcupine Warriors fans have been up in arms against the technical handlers, calling for their head as a first step to rescue the club from the throes of relegation.

However, the Assistant Coach of the side, David Dickson Ocloo is confident of kicking off their resurgence against Samartex.

Ahead of the game, the gaffer has predicted that their winning momentum will be restored beginning with the Timber Giants and has urged the fans to rally behind the team tomorrow.

Coach Nurudeen Amadu’s sight is firmly fixed on keeping the top spot and in doing so, they must ward off the Kotoko threat.

Tomorrow at the Golden City Park in Berekum, Berekum Chelsea will square up against Tarkwa-based Medeama SC.

Tagged a game of former champions versus reigning champions, the game has key battles to draw, especially as both sides eye a place at the top of the table.

Coach of Chelsea Samuel Boadu will be coming up against his former side and will look to thwart their title aspirations by plotting their defeat, but Medeama coach Nebojsa Kapor has other ideas for this game.

Accra Hearts of Oak will test their strength against Legon Cities at the Theatre of Dreams in Dawu.

After failing to pick a point away from Hearts, Karela United will return to their fortress, the Naa Sheriga Sports Complex in Nalerigu to host Accra Lions who were in blistering form against Bibiani Gold Stars in their last fixture.

In other games, Bofoakwa Tano will be at the Coronation Park in Sunyani to host Bechem United; relegation-threatened Real Tamale United will welcome Nsoatreman FC to the Naa Sheriga Sports Complex tomorrow, Bibiani Gold Stars take on Aduana Stars at the Dun’s Park with Heart of Lions and Nations FC sorting things out at the Kpando Sports Stadium.

The game between Accra Great Olympics and Dreams FC has been postponed due to their CAF Confederations Cup semi-final first-leg game against Egyptian giants Zamalek in Cairo.
