Tipped as one of the budding highlights at last weekend’s TIDAL RAVE in Accra, Crispen surprised patrons when he had the opportunity to perform “Happiness” live on stage.
As a Zimbabwean, fusing into the Afrobeats conversation which is mostly a reserve of West Africans, Crispen was privileged to switch from doing RnB into the Afro sounds, courtesy Sky Entertainment who signed him and gave him the leveraging to spark his career.
For influences, Crispen mentioned Stonebwoy, Kuami Eugene, Larruso, and Fameye as some of his key Acts he keeps learning from to hone his career.
Crispen released his new song “Happiness” under Sky Entertainment, a Ghanaian music record label, and has been doing good with the single which came with a very colourful video to accentuate the song’s mood.
For Crispen, moving from Zimbabwe to getting signed in Ghana was one of the best things that happened to him and he admitted Ghana is giving him more exposure and push than he had back home in his country. According to him, he began doing music actively since 2018; but he almost lost it when he got discouraged along the way.
“I was left with just 2% of hope with my music career but Sky Entertainment changed everything and I don’t regret picking up music at all. Ghana is giving me all the support I need. And in my ‘Happiness’ son I even used Ga and Twi to align myself to my newfound Family and home here in Ghana. Shouts to my people back in Zimbabwe as well”, he added.

The Kente Wear Festival is set to return in 2026 with an expanded series of four spectacular shows celebrating Ghana’s rich textile heritage, fashion, and culture, with Ghanaian musician Lord Paper and his band announced as the headline performers for this year’s edition.
The annual festival continues to champion the promotion of Ghana’s iconic Kente fabric while creating a platform for designers, models, entrepreneurs, and lovers of African culture to showcase the beauty and creativity of Ghanaian fashion in the diaspora.
The 2026 edition will be held across four venues, giving patrons multiple opportunities to experience the unique blend of fashion, music, and culture. 
One of the major highlights of this year’s festival will be the performance by Lord Paper and his band, who are expected to thrill audiences with some of their biggest hits while adding a vibrant musical experience to the celebration of Ghanaian heritage.
According to the organisers, the festival remains committed to promoting Made-in-Ghana apparel, fashion accessories, and locally inspired designs while strengthening the connection between Ghanaians in the diaspora and their cultural roots. “We live in a globalised world, and it is important that we celebrate Ghanaian fashion and culture wherever we find ourselves. Through the Kente Wear Festival, we continue to preserve our traditions, tell our stories, and introduce the elegance of Ghanaian craftsmanship to a global audience,” the organisers said.
Beyond the fashion runway, the festival will feature cultural performances, exhibitions, networking opportunities, and displays of both traditional and contemporary Kente-inspired designs, making it one of the premier events celebrating Ghanaian culture.
