CEO of GMA-USA appeals to American Embassy for close collaboration

The Chief Executive Officer(CEO) of Ghana Music Awards USA (GMA-USA), Dennis Boafo has appealed to the US Embassy in Ghana for close collaboration in bridging the cultural gap between the two countries.
According to him, his firm which is a registered entity in America has been organising events among others to entertain the Ghanaian community in there.
This, he added that it is to help bridge the cultural gap between Ghanaians and the people of the United States.
For this reason, they yearly send people in different capacities; artistes, music executives, journalists instrumentalists amongst others in the creative arts value chain to America to play vital roles in the organisation of Ghana Music Awards USA.
Speaking to Doreen Avio on Hitz FM, Mr.Boafo said these practitioners do return to Ghana to continue their work after the event, however, most at times securing their travelling documents become a difficult task.
“We are committed to making sure that those who travel on our ticket for Ghana Music Awards-USA event return to Ghana,” he said.
Against this backdrop, Mr.Boafo, affectionately called Don Dennis, appealed to the United States of America embassy in Ghana to help facilitate the process in making the event successful.
He said Ghanaians are open to different cultures and for this reason, they must continue to reciprocate this gesture, and urged the embassy to repose trust in them to respect the laws of the people of the USA.
“The Embassy needs to make sure our culture is protected in America, as we continue to embrace Hip Pop and other cultures from America,” he said.
