17 graduate from D’KAI Caregiving Training School

Seventeen students graduated from the D’KAI Caregiving and Home Care Training School over the weekend at the Faith Presbyterian Church in Accra.
As part of the event, the school’s building was unveiled by Nii Abosey Okai III.
The graduands were awarded with certificates and testimonials.
Founder of the school, Dorcas Oblikai Adomako, said the school was committed to transforming the caregiving industry locally by offering quality services.
According to her, they will produce quality professionals by using the latest caregiving technologies to train them.
Mr Charles Noble Quainoo, Ghana TVET Service, Greater Accra Region, said unemployment was on the rise and this initiative could reduce the unemployment problem.
He lauded the initiative and urged the youth to take advantage of it.
D’KAI Caregiving and Home Care Training School is a non-profit firm, registered with the Registrar General’s Department, licensed under the Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Protection.
It is accredited by NVTI, National Vocational Institute (CTVET) and Commission for Technical Vocational and Educational Training.

IGP decorates newly promoted senior police officers

The Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Mr. Christian Tetteh Yohuno, together with members of the Police Management Board (POMAB), on April 17, 2026, decorated nineteen (19) senior officers who have been promoted to their next ranks based on the recommendations of the Police Council and approval of the President, John Dramani Mahama.
The ceremony, held at the National Police Headquarters in Accra, forms part of efforts to recognise merit, dedication, and long-standing service within the Ghana Police Service, while strengthening leadership across key operational and administrative levels.
The officers promoted from Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCOP) to Commissioner of Police (COP) are Dr. Luke Asue-In-Yeng Zakpaa, Mr. Frederick Agyei, Mr. Duuti Tuaruka, Mr. Arthur Osei-Akoto, Mr. Darko Offei Lomotey, Mr. Eric Ken Winful, Mr. Barnabas Nambont Nasumong, and Mr. Desmond Owusu Boampong.
The IGP and members of POMAB congratulated the officers and urged them to uphold the highest standards of professionalism and integrity in the discharge of their duties.

360 Group to celebrate market women on Worker’s Day with ‘Odwadini Mpuntuo’

May 1, is dedicated to the celebration of Workers, a day to appreciate the outstanding commitment of workers throughout the year.
While Ghana celebrates the workforce across sectors, 360 Group Ltd will spotlight a powerful yet often under-celebrated group, the market women of Ghana.
The Market Women Health Awareness & Fun Day (Workers’ Day Edition), dubbed ‘Odwadini Mpuntuo’ is a full-day health-centered celebration designed specifically for traders in all 67 markets in the Greater Accra region which forms one of the busiest trading hubs in the country.
Market women form the economic heartbeat of Ghana’s informal sector contributing immensely to the country’s economy.
From food distribution to textiles, retail, micro-enterprise, their contribution to household stability and national GDP is enormous.
However, due to the demanding nature of their work, many neglect their own health and well-being.
Against this backdrop, the Odwadini Mpuntuo by Group 360 will combine health awareness, appreciation, celebration, and community engagement in one of the impactful and unforgettable Workers’ Day experience.
As part of the activities for the day, there would be medical screening, aerobics, fun games, interactive activities, appreciation, recognition ceremony, health and financial talk among others.
The maiden ceremony is expected to take place at the Makola Market on Friday, May 1, 2026.
They have charged on all and sundry to be on board to support such an initiative.
