10-man Swedru All Blacks lose to New Edubiase United to end unbeaten run

Former Premier League side Cape Coast Mysterious Dwarfs secured a narrow 1-2 win over UCC Youngsters at the Robert Mensah Park on Sunday. Ibrahim Asante Zakari scored the opener for Cape Coast Mysterious Dwarfs in the 55th minute, while Isaac Rolla Mensah equalized in the 62nd minute to bring his side back into the game.
Ibrahim Alhassan scored the decisive goal in the 90th minute for Cape Coast Mysterious Dwarfs. They are currently occupying the third place with 25 points. Ibrahim Alhassan of Cape Coast Mysterious Dwarfs was named player of the match.
Sekondi Rospak FC recorded their seventh successive home win this season after beating former Premier League side Elmina Sharks with 2 unanswered goals at the Akoon Park. Stephen Anthony Kofi and John Amoah scored in the 7th and 42nd minute respectively to help Sekondi Rospak FC grabbed the maximum points.
Meanwhile, Zone Two leaders Swedru All Blacks suffered their first defeat of the season as they lost 2-1 to New Edubiase United at the Len Clay Stadium. Swedru All Blacks took the lead with a penalty kick in the 17th minute, but things took a turn for the worse when Derrick Assiamah received a second yellow card in the 45th minute, reducing the team to 10 players.
New Edubiase United capitalized on this advantage, with Philip Amoh and Edward Fobih scoring to secure the win. This defeat is significant, considering Swedru All Blacks’ strong performance, currently holding the top spot with 33 points from 14 matches.

CAF President Dr Patrice Motsepe mourns tragic death of Berekum Chelsea star Dominic Frimpong
The promising 20-year-old footballer painfully lost his life when the team bus was attacked while returning from a Ghana Premier League fixture.
In an official letter addressed to Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku, President of the Ghana Football Association, Dr. Motsepe conveyed his deep sorrow over the devastating loss.
According to him, “It is with profound sadness that I learned of the armed robbery attack on the bus of Berekum Chelsea, returning from a Ghana Premier League fixture, which claimed the life of a 20-year-old winger Dominic Frimpong.”
The CAF President went on to express condolences on behalf of both himself and the continental football body, recognising the pain felt by all those connected to the young player.
“Please pass my personal and CAF’s deepest condolences to the family, friends and teammates of Dominic Frimpong and to the Ghana Football Association,” he noted.
In a message filled with compassion and solidarity, Dr. Motsepe offered prayers and support to the bereaved and the wider Ghanaian football community.
He added, “May God comfort and console his loved ones and the entire Ghanaian football community. CAF is with you during this sad and painful period.”
According to the GFA, it remains in constant communication with the club and relevant authorities, including the Ghana Police Service, as investigations continue into the circumstances surrounding the attack.
Authorities are being urged to ensure that all necessary steps are taken to bring the perpetrators to justice.

This follows the tragic passing of player Dominic Frimpong in a reported attack after a Ghana Premier League fixture against former Premier League Champions FC Samartex 1996 on Sunday.
