Investigative journalist, Manasseh Azure Awuni has praised Ghana’s Foreign Affairs Minister, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, for what he described as an impactful performance in office.

In a facebook post , Manasseh Azure said Mr Ablakwa is proving that a ministry can make a strong impact even without focusing heavily on procurement and projects.

According to him, the Foreign Affairs Minister is helping Ghana regain its image as a leading voice on the African continent and among Black people around the world.

Manasseh noted that some critics and political opponents may have expected Mr Ablakwa to fail after he became a minister, especially because of his role in exposing alleged corruption and mismanagement under the previous administration.

However, he said many of those critics may now be quietly admiring his work.

The journalist praised the government’s handling of a recent situation involving Israeli nationals who were reportedly denied entry into Ghana after some Ghanaians had also been denied entry into Israel.

He said actions like these give citizens confidence that their country will stand by them when they face difficulties abroad.

“Nothing engenders patriotism more than knowing that your country will not abandon you when you get stranded,” he stated.

Manasseh further called for the same level of commitment and hard work to be replicated across other ministries and sectors to help rebuild the country and restore hope among Ghanaians.
