Black Queens hold first training session in Accra

The Black Queens held a first training session for the June FIFA Women’s international window at the University of Ghana Stadium Annex in Accra.
A total of 24 players took part in the opening session under the supervision of Head Coach Kim Lars Björkegren and his technical team as the squad commenced work.
The session focused on light conditioning, tactical drills, and team-building activities as players reunite following their arrival in camp.
Training proceeded as planned, with the coaching staff expressing satisfaction with the intensity, commitment, and overall response from the players during the opening day.
The squad is expected to continue training in the coming days as the technical team works on improving fitness levels, team cohesion, and competitiveness.

Linda Owusu Ansah earns late Black Queens call-up

Black Princesses captain, Linda Owusu Ansah has received a late call-up to the Black Queens camp for the June FIFA Women’s international window.
Owusu Ansah replaces Alexandre Emefa Tay, who has been excused from camp due to academic commitments.
The talented midfielder, who previously featured for Ampem Darkoa Ladies, captained Ghana’s Black Princesses (U-20) and has been recognized as one of the country’s promising young talents.
Her call-up comes shortly after completing a move to AFC Toronto in Canada, marking another important milestone in her growing career.
Linda has joined the rest of the squad in Accra as preparations continue under Head Coach Kim Lars Björkegren.

Augustine Okrah named NASCO Ghana Premier League player of the month for April/May

Bechem United forward Augustine Okrah has been named the NASCO Player of the Month for April/May, edging out strong competition from Medeama SC’s Salim Adams, Young Apostles’ Emmanuel Richmond Opoku, and Berekum Chelsea’s Seidu Abubakari.
Okrah earned the accolade following a sensational run of form, finishing as the highest-scoring nominee with seven goals in six matches during the period.
His outstanding performances also saw him claim one NASCO Player of the Match award.
In recognition of his achievement, Okrah will receive a 43-inch NASCO television set and a NASCO double-door bottom-freezer refrigerator, courtesy of Electroland Ghana Limited, sponsors of the NASCO Player of the Month award.
