AHISCO climaxes centenary celebrations with grand durbar

The Accra High School (AHISCO), one of Ghana’s oldest educational establishment, climaxed it 100th anniversary celebrations with a grand durbar at the school’s premises last Saturday.
The durbar which also marked the speech and prize giving day was held under the theme, ‘Accra High at 100: the State of Education, the School, and the Future.”
The event attracted thousands of people including old students (Onukpai), dignitaries, parents, teachers and students at the grand occasion.
For the ‘Onukpai’, it was an opportunity to reunite, share fond memories and discuss initiatives to improve resources of the school.
The Minister of Education, Dr Yaw Osei Adutwum, in his speech read on his behalf by the Technical Advisor, Pre-Tertiary Education, Mrs Sheila Naah Boamah, congratulated the school for achieving such a milestone and ensuring that they produced personnel who contributed to national growth.
