Thank you, ECG Bortianor office for solving long-standing problem at Kokrobite

Dear Editor,

I would be grateful if you could use your esteemed newspaper to express the appreciation of residents of Kokrobite, near Zanz Apartments, to the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG), particularly the Bortianor District Office, for resolving a persistent electricity fluctuation problem that affected our community.

For several months, one of the transformers serving the area developed recurring faults, causing severe high and low voltage fluctuations. The situation worsened in April this year and persisted for almost two months, creating inconvenience for residents and businesses.

In our quest for a lasting solution, the Landlords Association submitted several petitions to the ECG Bortianor District Office through our Member of Parliament and Assembly Member. Although fault teams responded on several occasions, the problem continued.

Through my personal follow-ups, I was eventually connected to Mr. Rockson Offei, Head of the Fault Section at the ECG Bortianor District.

Mr. Offei demonstrated exceptional commitment and professionalism throughout the process. He consistently followed up after every intervention by his team to ascertain whether the fault had been rectified.

Despite the repeated challenges, he remained determined to find a permanent solution. He assured residents that he would personally ensure the issue was resolved. 

On the morning of June 16, 2026, at about 8a.m., he called to inform me that the transformer fault had finally been fixed. A quick verification with neighbours confirmed that the power fluctuations had indeed ceased.

On behalf of the residents of Kokrobite, I extend our sincere appreciation to Mr. Rockson Offei, the ECG Bortianor District Office, and the technical team for their dedication and perseverance. 

Mr. Offei’s commitment to duty is a fine example of the quality service that citizens expect from public institutions.

We thank them for restoring stable electricity supply to our community and encourage all public servants to emulate such dedication in the service of Ghana.
