Prioritise inclusive education- Dep. Education Minister

The Deputy Minister for Education, Dr. Clement Abas Apaak, has stressed the need to prioritize inclusive education policies to ensure equal access to quality education for all. 

Speaking at National Day for Persons with Disability at the West African Genetic Medical Centre – University Ghana -Legon, Dr. Apaak indicated the importance of Section 18 of the Persons with Disabilities Act, 2006 (Act 715), which shows the need for educational institutions to provide conducive environments that cater to the diverse needs of students with disabilities.

The Builsa South Member of Parliament also acknowledged the tireless efforts of Organisations of Persons with Disabilities (OPDs), educators, advocates, and families who have championed the right to inclusive education over the years.
