Odelia Ntiamoah Appointed Managing Director of Tobinco Media
Renowned broadcaster and development communications expert, Mrs. Odelia Ntiamoah, has been appointed Managing Director of Tobinco Media, heralding a new era for one of Ghana’s fast-growing media brands.
Her appointment has been widely applauded as a strategic move, bringing innovation-driven leadership, industry expertise, and a gender-inclusive perspective to the Ghanaian media landscape.
A Strong Cross-Industry Background
Odelia joins Tobinco Media with a rich portfolio shaped through her work with global organisations including the World Bank, UN agencies, AfCFTA, USAID, GIZ, and various multinational corporations.
Speaking to The Spectator, Odelia described the role as both an honour and a responsibility toward shaping the future of Tobinco Media. Her vision for the organisation rests on three pillars: people, revenue, and innovation.
“Quality media begins with quality people,” she said, emphasizing the importance of nurturing talent, encouraging creativity, and upholding professionalism within the organisation.
On revenue growth, she intends to expand income streams through value-driven solutions, strategic partnerships, and diversified media offerings that meet market needs. Additionally, Odelia plans to launch a groundbreaking mobile media innovation in the coming weeks, an initiative expected to redefine audience engagement and reshape Ghana’s media landscape.
Empowering Women in Media Leadership
Odelia views her appointment as a significant step for women in media leadership, highlighting the importance of gender-responsive management in shaping impactful media organisations.
Her career began as a student journalist at Radio Universe while studying at the University of Ghana. She later gained national acclaim at TV3 and worked with Citi FM, eventually serving as Ghana Correspondent for Euronews (Africa News). She has also produced compelling development-focused documentaries for local and international institutions, including the World Bank and government ministries.
Through her initiatives, Odelia has empowered over 3,500 women-led businesses across 37 African countries, providing training, market linkages, and access to investment—experience she is expected to leverage in driving impactful, gender-responsive media leadership at Tobinco.
