Kofi Kinaata discusses ‘Made in Taadi’ concert with MMFL boss
AWARD-WINNING highlife musician and songwriter Kofi Kinaata has called on the management of MobileMoney Fintech Ltd (MMFL) at the company’s head office in Accra as preparations for the 2026 edition of the Made in Taadi concert gather momentum.
The visit formed part of stakeholder engagements between MMFL and key players in Ghana’s creative industry, with discussions focusing on the growing relationship between music, technology and financial inclusion.
Receiving the musician, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of MMFL, Mr Shaibu Haruna, described Kofi Kinaata as a credible brand whose influence and connection with the Ghanaian public complemented the company’s efforts to promote financial inclusion.
“We are proud to have you here, and for me, the association with you is very credible,” he said.
Mr Haruna explained that although MMFL operated primarily as a technology company, its broader objective was to use technology to expand access to financial services and promote economic empowerment among Ghanaians.
He noted that effective communication remained essential to ensuring that people understood and adopted the company’s various financial products and services.
According to Mr Haruna, the partnership with Kofi Kinaata was therefore mutually beneficial and could contribute to efforts aimed at improving the financial well-being of Ghanaians.
He also commended the ‘Susuka’ hitmaker for using his music to address social issues and said he looked forward to attending the Made in Taadi concert in December.
Kofi Kinaata expressed appreciation to the management of MMFL for the warm reception and continued support for his brand and projects.
He said the relationship went beyond commercial interests, stressing that it provided an opportunity for both parties to contribute to society through financial literacy and community engagement.
“It’s an honour for me. What excites me is that we are not just doing payments; we are making an impact. The people are willing to listen, and they believe in us,” Kinaata said.
He pledged to use his influence and music to promote financial responsibility, digital literacy and economic empowerment among Ghanaians.
The Made in Taadi concert, held annually in Takoradi, has become one of the major events on Ghana’s entertainment calendar, attracting thousands of music lovers to the Western Regional capital.
The event provides a platform for celebrating Ghanaian music, culture and heritage while bringing together artistes, businesses and fans.
