Desiadenyo Club in Ho has marked its 40th anniversary with a call on members to be guided by integrity in the course of their duty.

He said the club, which was founded by 10 young workers 40 years ago was aimed at fostering unity, brotherliness and friendliness among themselves.

“It was also to provide service to the needy and vulnerable individuals, groups and communities,” he said.

He mentioned that the club has over the years supported schools within the municipality with educational material in an attempt to promote teaching and learning.

“This we did as part of efforts to give back to the society,” Mr Dzimale stated.

The president said the membership of the club had increased over the years making it a formidable club, hence the need to remain united and be willing to embrace change.

According to Mr Dzimale, unity would serve as a catalyst to advance the club’s growth as well as propel them to assist each other, their families and the municipality as a whole.

“As the club grows in numbers, we must recognise that we are one people regardless of where we hail from in the region,” he said.

The chairman for the occasion, Dr Harrison Belley, commended the founding members for their contribution towards the development of the club.
