Gracefield International School wins Word Bible Olympics
The Bible Verse Flashcard Project, organisers of a Bible competition dubbed “The Little Drops of The Word Bible Olympics,” has announced plans to expand the competition.
This follows the successful organisation of the competition held at the Christ the King Catholic Church in Accra, where participants from eight basic schools took part.
The competition was designed to make Bible study more engaging and accessible to children.
The participants, during the competition, showed their knowledge about the Bible as well as their confidence and teamwork through activities such as Bible recitation, sword drills, spelling challenges, and other interactive rounds.
At the end of what was a thrilling competition, Gracefield International School emerged as the eventual winner and received various awards.
Miss Maria H. Kwatchey Agozie, who led the competition, said that the initiative aimed to reach schools and inspire children to grow in faith while building their ability to speak and communicate in public.
In addition, she noted that the competition tagged “Raising Champions of the Word” was not just a contest but a movement to help children fall in love with Scriptures.
The next edition of the competition will take place on November 18, 2025, at the Legacy Girls School.
