Dr Joyce Aryee @80 celebration
Sounds from grand musical concert from the very best in choral music industry reverberated the capital, Accra, over the weekend, commemorating and to honour one of Ghana’s inspiring leaders, Dr Joyce Rosalind Aryee, a towering figure in both Ghana’s public service and business landscape.
The majestic occasion was her 80th birthday celebration.
Distinguished personalities including the General Overseer of the International Central Gospel Church (ICGC), Pastor Mensah Otabil, and Former First Lady Mrs Rebecca Akufo-Addo were present.
They were joined by a host of gospel musicians and well-wishers who gathered to celebrate Dr Aryee’s decades of impactful service.
The evening was highlighted by a stirring choral performance from the Harmonious Chorale, celebrating her dual legacy in government and Christian ministry.
Dr Aryee herself took to the stage, her voice lifting in a song of gratitude for the gift of life.
Reflecting on her journey, the founder of Salt and Light Ministries, a para church organisation, remarked that birthdays were a time for purpose and grace rather than just age.
The Salt and Light Ministries also focuses on areas of Management and Communications.
“I use this opportunity to renew my commitment to serve, to inspire, and to contribute to building a better society,” she stated.
Born on March 27, 1946, the veteran leader also offered a charge to the younger generation.
As the head of Joyce Aryee Consult, she urged the youth to embrace discipline and excellence, noting that Ghana deeply requires their “energy, creativity, and integrity.”
