Creative Arts Agency indefinitely postpones National Candlelight Vigil in honour of the late Daddy Lumba
The Creative Arts Agency has indefinitely postponed the National Candlelight Vigil in honour of the late highlife legend Charles Kwadwo Fosu, popularly known as Daddy Lumba.
The event was originally scheduled to take place in Kumasi on Saturday, August 9, 2025.
In a statement issued on Thursday, August 7, the Agency said the decision was in line with a directive from President John Dramani Mahama, who declared three days of national mourning from August 7 to 9 in honour of the eight people who died in the Ghana Air Force helicopter crash at Adansi on August 6.
The Agency expressed its condolences to the bereaved families and the entire nation during what it described as a difficult period.
It added that a new date for the vigil would be announced later.
