Ghana’s Black Stars have arrived in the United States to begin the final phase of preparations for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

The team left Cardiff on Wednesday afternoon and touched down in Washington, D.C. around 9 p.m. local time.

Officials from the Ghana High Commission were at the airport to receive the squad.

The trip comes days after Ghana played out a 1-1 draw with Wales in Cardiff on Tuesday night. Coach Carlos Queiroz’s men are hoping to build on that performance as they step up training ahead of the tournament.

The Black Stars resumed training on Thursday in the USA as they fine-tune tactics and team cohesion.
