3 dead, 15 injured in crash at Juaso on Kumasi-highway

Three people have been confirmed dead and 15 others injured following a fatal collision at Juaso Three-Lane, near NEXT Bon Gas on the Kumasi-Accra Highway on Sunday, July 13, 2026.

The accident occurred at approximately 9:39 am and involved a Shackman F3000 truck, registration GN 9673-25, loaded with clinker and driven by Mr. Stephen Amankwah, and a Dongfeng van, registration GM 4002-26, driven by Mr. Nyame Ebenezer.

In all, 18 persons were involved. Two males and one female died instantly at the scene. Fifteen others sustained various degrees of injury.

A joint rescue team from Konongo-Odumase and Juaso Fire Stations responded to the emergency call. They retrieved the three deceased and handed them over to Juaso Police.

The two drivers and the remaining 13 injured victims were rescued by members of the public before emergency crews arrived. They were rushed to Juaso Government Hospital for treatment.

The Shackman truck sustained partial damage to its cowl, while the Dongfeng van had its windscreen and engine compartment totally damaged.
