The gesture was to promote reading skills among basic school children in Ghana’s deprived communities.

He said one of the goals of the club was to strengthen the capacity of communities to support basic education and literacy, adding that “I am optimistic the new found partnership with Tema Manhean TMA Basic Cluster of schools will positively impact over 1,200 learners.”
The Assistant Governor of Rotary International District 9104, Joseph Dzamesi, said the project would help improve the reading ability of the children and build their vocabulary, expression, writing skills and also develop their analytical and critical thinking skills.
The Head of Human Resource at the Tema Metropolitan Education Directorate, Agartha Adrah, on behalf of the Metro Director of Education appreciated the philanthropic gesture of the club and urged them to sustain the partnership between them and the directorate.
The Rotarian in charge of the project, Mr Kingsley Ameko Letsa, was of the view that reading played an important role in education, hence the intention to adopt the schools and mentor them to improve their reading skills.
Mr Lesta who is also the Country Manager for CHINT Global said the club together with its partners will mentor the children to improve their reading skills and their overall performance.
He pledged his outfit’s commitment to supporting education initiatives in Ghana in order to create a better world for all.
