Reflo’s Empowers Elite U-15 Girls on Breast Cancer, Menstrual Health
Reflo’s Company Limited has become a partner of the ongoing Elite U-15 Girls Championship to educate young female athletes on breast cancer at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre in Prampram.
As partners, Reflo’s Company Limited held essential wellness sessions with the players and discussed key health topics such as breast cancer awareness and menstrual health.
With support from FIFA’s Talent Development Scheme, the initiative aims to help young female athletes learn, grow and feel supported both on and off the pitch.
The partnership aligns with Breast Cancer Awareness Month, marked in October each year to create awareness and honour the lives of millions affected by the disease.
A statement issued by the Ghana Football Association (GFA) and cited by The Spectator said the initiative supports the tournament’s goals by ensuring that the athletes are educated.
“By initiating conversations about often stigmatised health issues, the partnership between the GFA and Reflo’s Company Limited is breaking down barriers and empowering the next generation,” it said.
The release added, “This will ensure that the athletes are not only skilled with the ball at their feet but also equipped with the knowledge to care for their bodies.”
Reflo’s Company Limited is a leading manufacturer of sanitary pads and diapers and a key advocate for community development and girls’ empowerment in Ghana.
