Police interdict officers over alleged bribery video

The Bono Regional Police Command has interdicted some officers captured in a viral video allegedly taking money from motorists.

According to a statement from the Public Affairs Unit of the Ghana Police Service in Sunyani, the officers have been identified and temporarily removed from duty to allow for a thorough and impartial investigation into the matter.

The Command explained that the investigation aims to establish the facts surrounding the incident and ensure that appropriate disciplinary action is taken if misconduct is confirmed.

It assured the public that the Police Service remains committed to upholding professionalism, integrity, and accountability in its operations.
