Nhyira FM’s Nana Kwadwo Jantuah Resigns After Five Years
Nana Kwadwo Jantuah, a popular broadcaster with Kumasi-based Nhyira FM, has announced his resignation after five years with the Multimedia Group.
In a statement on Tuesday, Jantuah said he was leaving the station through a mutual agreement with management.
He noted that although the company wished he would stay, he believes his work at Nhyira FM “is done.”
Jantuah described his time at the station as a period filled with “hard work, controversies, misunderstandings, love, and hate,” but stressed that he exits without any bitterness.
He added that until the end of the year, he will continue mentoring those who will take over from him, saying he hopes they will “maintain momentum and stand up against oppression.”
According to him, broadcasting is more than a job.
“Money isn’t my primary motivator,” he wrote, adding that he finds fulfillment when he knows he has done a good job.
Jantuah reflected on lessons from his career, admitting that he has made mistakes and faced hurt, but holds no grudges.
He encouraged young journalists to stay honest, refuse bribes, and remain committed to their values.
“Add value, prepare for opportunities, and keep your heart clean. You’ll succeed,” he advised.
He expressed gratitude to the management of the Multimedia Group for their support over the years.
Jantuah said his last show as host has already taken place, and he will continue to appear on the station until Christmas, when he will give his final farewell.
He ended his message with a note of faith and optimism: “Good things come to good people… Someday, posterity will judge us.”
