Kwaisey Pee Announces Support for Children with Brain Tumour
Ghanaian music legend, Kwaisey Pee, has launched his 25th Anniversary celebration with a mission to support child cancer victims. Ahead of the event, Kwaisey Pee will defray the cost of surgery for children battling brain tumours at selected hospitals in the country. The main event, themed “Celebrating Music, Culture & Legacy,” is scheduled to take place on Christmas Day at De Icon Event Centre, East Legon.
Speaking at the launch held at Alisa Hotel last Saturday, Kwaisey Pee encouraged attendees to look forward to amazing performances and a collection of songs spanning his career—from his first album, Krokro Me, to his latest releases. Discussing his inspiration and what has sustained his career, he highlighted resilience and the support of good company despite challenges along the way. He added that honoring the memory of his father, the legendary Highlife musician Agyaaku, has been a constant source of motivation.
As part of the activities leading up to the main event, a clean-up exercise titled “Keeping Our Culture Clean” will be held on December 20 in collaboration with the BuzStop Boys. Additionally, a Soccer Fiesta called “Kick Off Child Cancer” will take place on December 14 at the East Legon club’s park, featuring a match between musicians and East Legon Young Executives.
