Kotoko aim double over Legon Cities

League leaders Asante Kotoko will welcome Legon Cities to the Baba Yara Sports Stadium tomorrow to honour their match day 26 fixture of the Ghana Premier League (GPL). 

The Porcupine Warriors will be aiming to return to winning ways after suffering a 2-1 defeat to relegation-threatened Real Tamale United on Sunday at the Aliu Mahama Stadium. 

Concerned about the loss, trainer Propser Narteh Ogum admitted his charges were poor, committed unpardonable errors but assured fans of a turnaround tomorrow. 

Kotoko are enjoying a good run as their quest to clinch the title remains intact.

Sitting comfortably on top of the log with 52 points, Kotoko are the side with the lowest defeats (three) and will be eager to record a double over the Royals who they beat 2-1 in the first round.

The visitors have improved in their second round games and could use this game to surprise Kotoko. 

Fourth-placed Accra Great Olympics will host Ashgold SC at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday. Olympics have managed a victory in their last five games, three defeats and a draw. 

Their third defeat came against GoldStars who rallied back to pick a 2-1 triumph after Olympics went ahead in the first half. 

A win for the Coach Annor Walker and his charges will see the AGOSU lads take over Aduana Stars in third place should the latter fall to Berekum Chelsea. 

At the Nana Gyeabour Park tomorrow, high-flying Bechem United will lock horns with Karela United. 

With eight points behind the leaders, the Hunters suffered a late 3-2 defeat to struggling Eleven Wonders. 

Ashgold were held to a goalless draw against Aduana Stars in their last meeting and will aim to improve.

Third-placed Aduana Stars will make a trip to the Golden City Park to face Berekum Chelsea. 

At the Akoon Park, Medeama SC will battle it out with West African Soccer Academy (WAFA) tomorrow while a battle for survival is expected to be staged tomorrow at the Nduom Park in Elmina where Sharks face Real Tamale United (RTU). 

At the Duns Park in Bibiani, Gold Stars will test their might against Eleven Wonders whilst under-performing King Faisal travel to the Eastern region to face Dreams FC at the Theatre of Dreams at Dawu tomorrow.
