Ken Agyapong commiserates with Pure FM after fire outbreak

Flag-bearer hopeful for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the 2028 General Elections, Kennedy Ohene Agyapong, has sympathised with Pure FM, a Kumasi-based media house, after their studio was temporarily destroyed by fire.
In a message shared on Friday, July 25, on Facebook, Mr Agyapong described the incident as a sad moment for the media and all those who believe in telling the truth.
“I am deeply saddened by the devastating fire that has destroyed Pure FM. This is a worrying moment for the entire media fraternity and for all who cherish the truth,” he said.
Mr Agyapong added that Pure FM’s voice was too important to be lost, expressing hope that the station will come back even stronger.
“Pure FM’s voice is too vital to be silenced. You have shown resilience before and I am confident that, like the phoenix, Pure FM will rise from these ashes stronger than ever. You are not alone. I stand with you in this difficult time,” he stated.
The fire began during a live show on Wednesday evening and raged for more than three hours before firefighters brought it under control.
Although eyewitnesses say an electrical fault may have caused the fire, the Ghana National Fire Service is expected to conduct a full investigation to confirm what triggered the incident.
Even though the building structure remains intact, all studio equipment was destroyed. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.
Pure FM is part of the Angel Broadcasting Network (ABN), known for its strong local programming, especially in the Ashanti Region.
