Kefa Joe Frimpong releases ‘Waka’
Gospel singer Kefa Joe Frimpong has released his first single, ‘Waka’, recorded live at Deeper Experience 2024.
The emerging gospel artiste dropped ‘Waka’ on January 1, 2025. The song is inspired by Jeremiah 1:12 and serves as a message of faith and hope.
Kefa wrote the song after surviving hardships in 2021, a difficult time he faced with his family.
Sung beautifully in Twi, the lyrics of the first verse remind listeners of God’s faithfulness; “God is still merciful, and His grace is enough for us. He has spoken, and He will do it, so you will know He is God.”
Kefa shares his testimony through ‘Waka’, encouraging people to trust God despite challenges.
In the second verse, he reassures listeners; “Even through your struggles and shame, Jesus Christ is with you. He will hold you, He will keep you, and you will know He is God.”
Kefa revealed Dr. Sonnie Badu as his main influence and inspiration, alongside Dunsin Oyekan, who he worked with and producers Kwasi Asare Amening and Stuart Chordson to produce ‘Waka’, which is already making an impact, gaining over 6,000 views on YouTube.
