Israeli artist donates to Nyamedua Orphanage

An Israeli artist, Ms Beth Nierman Shahar recently denoted assorted toys and clothes worth 3,000 US dollars to the Nyamedua Children’s Home at Ashaley Botwe in Accra.

Madam Vicky Mills of Mevicon Services and radio producer, Jacques Joli Cover, presented the items on her behalf.

Ms Beth Shahar, a respected painter, and promoter of “Saturday Night Live Art Shows“, mobilised the items, by appealing to her artist colleagues and friends in Israel, who responded positively.

The Director of the orphanage, Mr Paul Anaba, expressed appreciation for responding to their need, from far away Tel Aviv, Israel.

He said the items would put smiles on the faces of the children during the yuletide.

Mr Anaba thanked Mr Constant Boty, a jazz guitarist who contacted Ms Beth Shahar on their behalf after visiting the orphanage in May, last year, as part of Mevicon Services traditional annual  humanitarian activities to support the less privileged.

He said, “we need more of such kindness to continue to make the world a better and a fairer place for all”.
