HRMD organises orientation for New Staff

The Human Resource Management Directorate (HRMD) of the Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Protection has organized a two-day training workshop from June 12-13,  2025 for newly posted staff.

The objective of the training was to ensure the smooth integration of new personnel into the Ministry’s operations and culture.

Speaking at the two-day training, the Director of the Human Resource Management Directorate, Madam Vida Owusua Mensah, emphasized the Ministry’s commitment to continuous professional development.

She encouraged the new staff to uphold the values of the Ministry, take their roles seriously, and contribute meaningfully to advancing the Ministry’s mandate.

Participants were taken through a range of critical and capacity-enhancing topics, including performance management and target setting, navigating the Electronic Staff Performance Appraisal Portal (e-SPAR), an overview of the Ministry, sexual harassment prevention, the Affirmative Action Law, gender concepts and terminologies, human trafficking, domestic violence, and other key thematic areas essential for effective public service delivery.
