Ghana Travel Club explores tourist sites in Volta Region

The Ghana Travel Club, a vibrant new movement uniting tourism enthusiasts, professionals, and adventurers from all walks of life, over the weekend explored tourist sites in the Volta Region on a 3-day tour.
The tour dubbed ‘Volta Rave’ from June 6 to 8, united people in fields of engineering, mining, law, banking, finance, sales, marketing, the military, public service, and the general public.
As part of the three-day tour of the Volta Region, they explored the beauty from the heights of Amedzofe to the sands of Keta, across borders to Lomé, and along the calm waters of the Volta River in Sogakope.
Every stop held a story, every face lit up with joy, and every experience left a mark.
With a shared passion for discovering the hidden gems of the country, members of the Ghana Travel Club created lasting memories, built connections, and showcased the beauty of Ghana to fellow Ghanaians and the world.
As part of the fun tour, they made a stop at Shai Hills, cruised on the serene Volta River, visited the scenic Cape St. Paul Lighthouse in Woe, walked through Fort Prinzenstein in Keta, Mt.Gbemi, and had an unforgettable time on the Amedzofe Canopy Walkway, among others.
Ghana Tourism Authority boss, Maame Afua Houadjeto, together with her Deputy, Gilbert Aggrey, affectionately called Abeiku Santana led the captivating trip.
Mrs Houadjeto said it was a weekend to discover the Volta Region, rest and relax, adding that the region has a beautiful heritage for them to explore.
She urged Ghanaians to be ambassadors for Ghana tourism because their participation and promotion would attract others to visit.
The trip was interspersed with music, as one of Ghana’s finest, Article Wan thrilled them with some amazing performances.
The tour was powered by Kaya Tours Ghana, Koppan Hospitality with the support from the Ghana Tourism Authority and CIMG
